GROUND CONTROL

Directed by Bridget Balodis

GROUND CONTROL premiered at Northcote Town Hall in May 2016 as part of Next Wave Festival, it went on to tour to Brisbane Festival's Theatre Republic later that year.

Part science experiment, part love story, GROUND CONTROL takes our world and fast forwards it 100 years into the future, spitting it back with a grimace. A furious, experimental comedy about violence, the technological singularity and long-distance relationships.

“…a taut and devastating, yet often frankly funny and beautiful, look at the future of our world—and an exhilarating look at the future of our theatre”

– Jane Howard, RealTime

“The script is so clever and the stage-craft and performances so compelling that every moment of the show requires focused, embodied attention. Only once it was over could I process the enormity of what I’d seen…”

– Georgia Symonds, ArtsHub
